I will hopefully finish the Phantom entry over the weekend, but, until then I wanted to at least give you something! This is my dedication to my sister and to all the sisters of the silent film era.
Enjoy!

I'm so sorry about your sister - I hope everything turns out well. I've always found blogging is a good way to deal with stress (it takes my mind off real life). Thank you for all the wonderful sister photos :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you! And, yes, thankfully she is doing much better. :)
DeleteOh! And I have to say, I am loving all your pins on Pinterest of the Bathing Beauties. I am stalking every one! I have been debating on whether or not to do a Pinterest for Silence is Platinum.
DeleteI hope your sister is recovering nice and quickly. This is a scare and such a wonderful blog entry to create for you and your sister. I always thought Delores Costello was beautiful. I also fell in love with Viola Dana due to my (notice I say "my") Hollywood series that I have only in VHS. She is in almost every single one of them sharing wonderful memories
ReplyDeleteThank you, Birgit. She is much better thankfully. It has just been hard being 3000 miles away and feeling like I can't do anything. Knowing she is doing better is making me feel better though.
DeleteAnd, yes, Dolores had the really beautiful eyes. It's funny though because I see more of Drew Barrymore in Helene than I do in Dolores. Guess it depends on the picture.
And I just love Viola! I would have loved to have spent some time at the Flugrath house. Buster loved to!
Oh one of the memories was when She, Viola Dana, and Omer Locklear went up in his plane. he would do all sorts of plane acrobatics and she loved all of them (brave gal). She would have old lipsticks and he would swoop down to the streets and she would throw the lipsticks at people! She mentioned he had to lay low after that stunt
ReplyDeleteI love that part of the series! It was so sad how teary she would get thinking about it all those years after the fact. I am sure she can picture it clear as day.
