November Birthdays!

New month means new stars!

I was going to do an entry about The Phantom of the Opera with Lon Chaney that I saw last night but then I remembered that it's the first of the month and I have to post the monthly birthday entry. So, the movie write up with becoming shortly. I could have sworn that I had already covered it before, but apparently not. I definitely need a place to talk about how much I love Lon Chaney and how I am not a fan of Mary Philbin's performance (sorry, Mary!) Also, I can't wait to show pictures of the amazing theater I saw the film at in El Segundo. Such a great Halloween!

Take a look at who we have celebrating birthdays this month! Lots of great stars! Enjoy!

  1. Gosh I love looking at these. I always check out the day when people were born on the same day as friends or family of mine(awkward sentence) November 7, my one Aunt was born and I am amazed how many birthdays fall on that one day. Ford Sterling actually looks handsome! Nita Naldi is quite the femme fatale

    1. My sister's birthday is November 7th. And, actually, my other sister's birthday is November 3rd. Nita Naldi was just made for the silent screen. Her skin always looks so flawless.

  2. Thanks for the post, Jessica. I counted 5 stars that were born in the 1860-1870's. That means they were middle aged by the turn of the century. Interesting that they would be in movies, not a very respectable occupation and one that leans toward the youth. And they had probably been in entertainment, traveling roadshows way before then.
A new one on me is Jacqueline Logan, Never heard of her or seen her before but she is beautiful. Wonder why her star didn't shine brighter than it did?

    1. A lot of them were popular stage actresses so trying their hand at the new medium of film was a logical next step. I just love Edwardian actresses too so I wanted to include them.
Jacqueline Logan was a beautiful lady. And, no. She didn't have the biggest career. I did an entry about her in December 2011 if you wanna do a quick read on her.
